Gobid Group at the Mantua Conference: the role of professionals in managing business crises

On October 3rd and 4th, Mantua will become the center of the national debate on business crisis management. In the splendid setting of the Teatro Sociale, the Conference “The role of professionals and the duties of the parties in managing business crises” will take place, promoted by the Association and Study Center on Crisis Law of Mantua, with the patronage of the Court of Mantua, the Bar Association, the Association of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts, and the Notarial Council of Mantua.

A prestigious event dedicated to the memory of Dante Lanfredi, it will bring together judges, academics, and professionals for a wide-ranging discussion on the importance of expertise in preventing and overcoming business difficulties. Gobid Group will take part as a sponsor.

The promoters and the scientific value of the initiative

Three leading figures will coordinate the proceedings: Dr. Laura De Simone, President of the Business Crisis Section of the Court of Milan; lawyer Paolo Trombini, co-founder of the journal Diritto della Crisi; and Franco Procissi, director of the Mantua IVG.

The cultural and scientific framework is ensured by the Crisis Law Study Center, established to promote an interdisciplinary approach to the study of business crises. The Center aims to create a permanent forum for reflection, capable of fostering dialogue among judges, lawyers, accountants, notaries, and scholars, with the goal of spreading a solid and shared legal and economic culture. It is a true point of reference for professionals in their daily practice, where theory and experience intertwine to provide concrete solutions to market challenges.

The role of professionals and the duties of the parties: focus of October 3rd

The first day, Friday, October 3rd, will open with institutional greetings from authorities, institutional representatives, and presidents of professional associations, before moving into the heart of the program with a session dedicated to crisis professionals.

The various roles they assume in proceedings will be analyzed: from the expert and the auxiliary—figures called upon to combine strategy and responsibility—to the certifier and the business valuation expert. The discussion will be enriched by contributions from university professors and judges, who will provide both technical and practical insights, highlighting how the quality of professional intervention can affect the success of recovery efforts.

In the afternoon, the focus will shift to the duties of the parties involved in a crisis. Key topics such as good faith, fairness, and disclosure by the debtor will be addressed, as well as contract renegotiation in crisis contexts. A special focus will also be placed on the delicate balance between creditors’ freedom and constraints, with particular attention to the banking system. Academics and judges will provide perspectives useful to understanding how responsibility, transparency, and cooperation are indispensable elements for the success of restructuring processes.

October 4th: fees, liabilities, and the role of auditors

The second day, Saturday, October 4th, will begin with a highly relevant topic for professionals: fees and the treatment of priority claims, followed by an in-depth analysis of the procedural effects of non-performance. These are issues that directly affect daily operations and raise delicate questions about the protection of the parties involved.

Subsequently, ample space will be dedicated to the role of auditors in companies in crisis. The oversight of boards of auditors will be analyzed in light of the new Article 2407 of the Civil Code and the evolution of corporate control under Article 2409, with contributions showing that auditors’ responsibility is not merely formal but represents an essential safeguard for the proper management of corporate dynamics.

Connections and synergy for the future. Gobid Group’s continuous investment

The theme at the heart of the Mantua Conference represents one of the most significant challenges for today’s economic and production system. Fully understanding these aspects is not only a regulatory requirement but an essential step to ensuring business continuity and guaranteeing the solidity of professional relationships.

In a context where continuous training and discussion are decisive tools, the ability to keep pace with legal and economic developments is what enables professionals to effectively face moments of greatest complexity.

Gobid Group’s presence in Mantua therefore reflects a deliberate choice: to invest in training and dialogue opportunities that have a concrete impact on the professional and business world. Prestigious initiatives such as this one are not merely opportunities for updates, but a chance to foster a network of qualified expertise, strengthen interdisciplinary dialogue, and identify increasingly innovative and sustainable solutions.

A network in which shared knowledge becomes a strategic resource, contributing to the construction of a common horizon. A valuable opportunity to actively contribute to a professional ecosystem based on collaboration, exchange, and shared responsibility.

It is within this web of connections that real value is generated: the value of always standing alongside professionals and businesses with expertise, vision, and innovation.
