Gobid Group at the Capri Seminar: a top-level event for professionals

Gobid Group renews its presence at the Capri Seminar, on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 September, an event that for several years has seen our auction house play a leading role as sponsor and active partner alongside the Institute of Insolvency Practitioners. A strong and consolidated collaboration, confirming the Group’s commitment to supporting professionals in the most qualified and institutional training contexts, such as the one held in the splendid location of the island of Capri, at the Congress Center – Palazzo del Cinema.

“The role of advisors and the Court in selecting tools” is the theme at the heart of the two training days.

A current and complex question, raised by the Institute of Insolvency Practitioners: corporate restructuring today navigates between regulations suggesting the postponement of crisis disclosure, provisions not yet in force, and the introduction of new tools. The Institute therefore raises a crucial reflection: will these innovations truly facilitate business crisis resolution, or do they risk shifting problems to the detriment of other stakeholders?

Key topics of the Conference

On Friday 19 and Saturday 20 September, at the Congress Center – Palazzo del Cinema in Capri, magistrates, chartered accountants, and professionals from academia will gather for a high-level discussion.

The theme chosen for this edition, “The role of advisors and the Court in selecting tools”, highlights the dialogue between those guiding restructuring processes and those making decisions in courtrooms.

The program features authoritative voices from the sector. The first day, Friday 19 September, will be dedicated to advisors: from the role of the independent expert to financial planning, up to the contribution of institutions. The second day, Saturday 20 September, will instead focus on the Courts, with insights into approval procedures, arrangements with creditors, and judicial liquidations. A valuable training opportunity, which will also offer lawyers and accountants recognized continuing professional education credits.

Friday 19 September: The role of advisors

The first day will be dedicated to advisors, with talks on:

  • The components of the entrepreneurial formula (Riccardo Samiolo, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice);
  • The role of the independent expert (Riccardo Ranalli, Chartered Accountant in Turin);

  • Invitalia’s institutional role in relaunch processes (Stefano Piccaluga);
  • Costs and responsibilities of experts, advisors, and boards of statutory auditors (Salvatore Leuzzi, Court of Cassation).

Saturday 20 September: The role of the Courts

The second day will instead focus on the Courts, with insights into:

  • Approval of restructuring agreements and simplified arrangements with creditors (Laura De Simone, Court of Milan);
  • P.R.O. Liquidation (Silvia Bianchi, Court of Venice);
  • Preventive arrangement and reflections on the system (Giovanni Battista Nardecchia, Court of Cassation);
